Law enforcement officers to take polar plunge for Special Olympics Kansas
HUTCHINSON, Kan.— Law enforcement officers will jump into frigid water Jan. 24 to raise money for Special Olympics Kansas. The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge, billed as the “Coolest Lake Party in Kansas,” will take place at 10 a.m. at Midwest Superstore, 1100 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson.

Youth Philanthropy Council grant deadline approaches for Reno County organizations

The Hutchinson Art Center will host monthly children’s art projects on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, led by artist and educator Beckie Vega. The make-and-take art classes are open to children ages 6 through 12 and will be divided into two groups: Group A from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
