RENO COUNTY, Kan. — Greenfield Road between Dean Road and Whiteside Road reopened to through traffic Monday, Oct. 27, following completion of low water bridge repairs, according to Reno County officials.

The road had been closed since Sept. 30 for the infrastructure project.

County officials announced the reopening in a social media post Monday, stating the bridge repair work has been completed and the route is now accessible to all vehicles.

The closure affected a rural section of Greenfield Road in the county, requiring drivers to use alternate routes for nearly a month during the construction period.

Reno County is located in south-central Kansas, with Hutchinson serving as the county seat. The county maintains numerous rural roads and bridges throughout its jurisdiction.

No information was provided regarding the cost of the repair project or whether additional road work is planned in the area.
