Hutchinson group offers free rides to polling places for early voting, Election Day
Information obtained from Hutch in Harmony
Hutch in Harmony is providing free transportation to voters through its Rides to Democracy initiative as early voting begins in Hutchinson.
The nonpartisan service helps local voters travel safely to and from polling places at no cost. Early voting runs from Oct. 20 through Nov. 3, with Election Day on Nov. 4.
The organization aims to eliminate transportation as a barrier to voter participation in Reno County.

Voters can access the service by checking their polling location at myvoteinfo.voteks.org and completing the Rides to Democracy form online. The organization will then match participants with volunteer drivers and confirm ride details.
The initiative is open to all voters regardless of political affiliation during both the early voting period and on Election Day.
