ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Commissioner Charles Tweedy III read a proclamation at the April 7 City Commission meeting recognizing May 2, 2026, as Cinco de Mayo Day in Arkansas City, a tradition tied to the annual Tacolalah festival.
