Youth Philanthropy Council grant deadline approaches for Reno County organizations
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Youth-serving organizations in Reno County have until Jan. 15 to submit proposals for grants from the Hutchinson Community Foundation's Youth Philanthropy Council.
The council, composed of Reno County high school students, will distribute approximately $5,000 in grants this spring from the Richard W. Dillon Memorial Fund for Youth Philanthropy. Awards will be announced in March.
The Youth Philanthropy Council operates annually, giving local students hands-on experience in charitable giving while supporting programs that benefit young people in the community.
Organizations interested in applying can review guidelines and submit proposals at hutchcf.org/nonprofitsandgrants/available-grants. Questions should be directed to Senior Program Officer Jan Steen at jan@hutchcf.org or 620-663-5293.
Founded in 1989, the Hutchinson Community Foundation describes itself as "the heart of philanthropic giving in Reno County." The foundation is located at 1 N Main St Ste 501 in Hutchinson.
