HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson YMCA will open its doors Saturday, October 11, for a free recreational event targeting middle school students across Reno County.
The event, scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 716 E. 13th Ave., offers sixth through eighth graders three hours of activities including swimming, basketball, dodgeball and access to both cardio and weight rooms. Pizza and drinks will be provided to all participants.
Organizers emphasized that students must check in by 6:15 p.m. to participate in the evening's activities.
Parents and guardians are required to complete a signed waiver for each student before drop-off. The YMCA noted that new waivers are required for the current school year, regardless of previous participation.
The program is open to all middle school students residing in Hutchinson and throughout Reno County at no cost.
