MANHATTAN, Kan. — A weeklong repaving project on Westwood Road between Fort Riley Boulevard and Oak Street is progressing on schedule, according to city officials, and will fully reopen to traffic Monday, June 22. The work by Bayer Construction is one of five sites included in a $987,555 asphalt maintenance package funded by a 0.2% local sales tax dedicated to street upkeep. The other four sites in the package have not yet been identified in city communications. Drivers should expect minor delays and watch for flaggers directing through traffic until mill and overlay operations conclude.
