Two Hospitalized in Reno County Traffic Crash
RENO COUNTY, Kan. — Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Robert W. Cooper, 77, of Haven, was driving eastbound on Arlington Road when he failed to yield at a stop sign at Kansas 96. His 2014 Chevrolet Cruze struck a 2014 Ford Taurus driven by Jonathan E. Lane, 58, of Hutchinson, on the driver's side.
Cooper and his passenger, Kathleen A. Cooper, 75, of Haven, were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Lane was not injured. All three occupants were wearing seat belts, according to the Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. Both vehicles came to rest in the center crossover after impact.
