Trinity Catholic routs South Sumner 48-7 in nonconference game

The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School Celtics (2-1) faced the South Sumner High School Outlaws (2-1) on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, in a nonconference matchup at Trinity Catholic High School in Hutchinson, Kansas.
The Trinity Celtics dominated from the start. After receiving the opening kickoff, South Sumner's offense was quickly shut down by the Celtics' defense, which forced a turnover on downs.
The Celtics quickly capitalized on that turnover, scoring the opening touchdown on a 37-yard run by senior quarterback Drew Dechant (11). Dechant was a standout performer, rushing for two touchdowns and passing for three more.
The Trinity defense was impressive, allowing only one score and forcing four turnovers.
