Trinity Catholic routs Conway Springs 40-6 in dominant home victory

The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School Celtics (3-1) football team faced off against the Conway Springs High School Cardinals (1-3) on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Trinity Catholic High School in Hutchinson, Kansas.

For the second consecutive week, the Trinity Celtics delivered a dominant performance for their hometown fans. In the first half, the Conway Springs Cardinals only threatened the goal line once, just before halftime. However, a strong pass defense by the Celtics kept the Cardinals from scoring as the half came to a close. On offense, the Celtics thrived with explosive plays, scoring touchdowns through a 60-plus-yard punt return, as well as touchdown runs of 40 and 28 yards. They also added touchdown passes of 46, 38 and 56 yards.

In the second half, a running clock was in effect due to the Celtics' lead. The Cardinals scored their only touchdown with 2:04 remaining in the half. The halftime score was 33-0 in favor of the Celtics, and the final score ended at 40-6.
