Traffic delays, detours hit Anderson and Bluemont avenues for unplanned repairs starting April 30
Emergency manhole replacements beginning April 30 will take up to three weeks to complete.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Drivers will encounter moderate traffic delays, lane closures and detours over the next two-and-a-half to three weeks as crews perform unplanned repairs along Anderson and Bluemont avenues between Harris Avenue and 11th Street, according to the City of Manhattan Public Works Department. The emergency work to replace manhole covers and concrete collars begins Thursday, April 30, starting with eastbound lane closures on Bluemont Avenue from North Manhattan Avenue to 11th Street. Detour route information was not immediately available.
