Three Hospitalized After Intersection Collision in Reno County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — Three people were hospitalized Monday morning after a T-bone collision at a Reno County intersection, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. at the intersection of Buhler Road and U.S. Highway 50, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Jananna Lawson, 62, of Hutchinson, was driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Buhler Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign, the patrol said. Her vehicle collided with a westbound 2012 Honda Odyssey driven by Jasmin Valle, 38, of Newton.
Emergency medical services transported Lawson to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Valle and a 7-year-old passenger in the Honda were taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
All three individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, the highway patrol reported.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
