South Hutchinson's Voss Water Park to Close for Season

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Voss Water Park closed for the 2025 season on Monday, Sept. 1, as summer draws to a close, city officials announced.

The city of South Hutchinson thanked residents and visitors for their patronage during the summer months at the popular aquatic facility.

"As the summer heat fades & the days start to cool down (but let's be real... it's Kansas), Voss Water Park will be closing for the season on Monday September 1st," the city said in a social media post. "Thanks for making it a splash. We'll see you next summer!"

The water park, located in South Hutchinson at 2 S. Main St., serves as a summer recreational destination for families throughout the region. The facility operates seasonally during the warmer months, typically opening in late spring and closing after Labor Day.

South Hutchinson, a small city adjacent to Hutchinson, maintains the water park as part of its community amenities. The city government can be reached at (620) 663-7104 or through its website at southhutch.com.

The closure marks the end of another summer season for the community facility, which will remain shuttered until reopening next year when temperatures warm again.

Labor Day traditionally signals the end of the swimming season for many municipal pools and water parks across Kansas as children return to school and outdoor recreation activities wind down for the year.

Details about the 2026 season opening date and any planned improvements or maintenance projects were not immediately announced.
