South Hutchinson launches weekly Grinch Flag scavenger hunt

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — South Hutchinson will kick off a month-long scavenger hunt Saturday as residents search for a hidden Grinch flag using weekly riddles.

The Great Grinch Flag Hunt of South Hutch begins Nov. 30 with the first clue posted at 2 p.m. on the city's social media and at City Hall. Participants will follow riddles to locate a Grinch flag hidden somewhere in the city.

The flag will move to a new location each week, with fresh clues posted every Sunday at 2 p.m.

Participants must photograph themselves with the flag and post the image in the comment section of the clue announcement using #GrinchHuntSouthHutch. Entries must be submitted by midnight on Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 18 and Dec. 25 to qualify for that week's prize drawing.

Winners will be selected each Friday morning and announced at 2 p.m. Prizes can be claimed at City Hall, 1 S. Maple St., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding the noon lunch hour.

The four-week competition runs through Christmas Day.
