Rookies Fall to Goddard Despite Strong Second-Half Effort

The Rookies faced a tough battle against Goddard, ultimately falling 0-18 despite a spirited second-half comeback attempt that showcased the team's resilience and determination.

The young squad struggled to establish offensive rhythm early, finding themselves trailing at halftime as Goddard capitalized on first-half opportunities.

However, the second half told a different story as the Rookies began to find their footing on both sides of the ball. The offensive line created running lanes for Maverick Collins and Brodie Christiansen, who provided the ground attack with several strong carries that moved the chains and sustained drives.

Defensively, the Rookies came alive after intermission, consistently disrupting Goddard's backfield and forcing negative plays. Bodie Christiansen anchored the defensive effort with multiple tackles for loss, while Maverick Collins contributed on both sides of the ball with key defensive stops. Jesse Anderson, Kannon Swaim and Drake Schropp also made crucial plays in the backfield, demonstrating the team's improving defensive chemistry.
