Department prepares to outline funding needs ahead of municipal budget process
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Riley County Police Department Director Brian Peete and Deputy Director Erin Freidline will host a public town hall Wednesday April 29 to answer questions about proposed 2027 budget increases. The "Connect & Protect" forum at the Flint Hills Community Accelerator is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The meeting will outline the department's operational needs before the municipal budget process advances.
