Reno County program offers free fitness classes for cancer survivors

RENO COUNTY — The Cancer Council of Reno County will launch a free 12-week fitness program for cancer survivors beginning Jan. 27 at Hutchinson YMCA.
The Livestrong program will meet twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 90-minute sessions. Participants will focus on traditional exercise methods designed to help them ease back into fitness with individualized attention tailored to their specific recovery needs.
The program aims to provide a safe, comfortable environment where cancer survivors can build companionship with others affected by cancer while sharing stories and inspiration.
