Reno County nonprofits have 2 days left to apply for community grants

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Nonprofit organizations serving Reno County have until Thursday to apply for grants totaling up to $50,000 through the Hutchinson Community Foundation's Impact Cycle 1 of 2026 Fund for Reno County Grants.
The Feb. 13 deadline applies to three grant categories designed to strengthen community development, organizational capacity and civic engagement across the county.
The Community & Economic Development category offers the largest awards at up to $50,000 for projects that build workforce resilience, activate downtown business districts, support entrepreneurs and improve housing quality. Eligible initiatives also include placemaking efforts in public spaces that enhance quality of life in Reno County.
Organizations seeking to strengthen their operational capacity can apply for Strong Organizations grants of up to $7,500. These awards support projects that improve the sustainability and effectiveness of community-based organizations.
The Community Catalyst category provides grants up to $2,500 for projects aimed at boosting community engagement, communication and civic pride.
Applications are open to 501(c)(3) organizations and fiscally sponsored groups serving Reno County. Interested applicants can submit proposals online at hutchcf.org/nonprofitsandgrants/available-grants.
