Reno County EMS hosts 7th annual Fill The Ambulance food drive for Salvation Army

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Emergency Medical Services is collecting non-perishable food items this week for its seventh annual Fill The Ambulance food drive benefiting The Salvation Army Hutchinson.

The drive runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov.14 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Dillons Marketplace, 3200 Plaza East Drive.

All donations will help stock Christmas meal boxes distributed by The Salvation Army to families in Reno County, according to the EMS Facebook page.

Organizers are requesting non-perishable items such as; canned corn, canned green beans, boxed mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, brownie mix and gravy or gravy mix. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Reno County EMS, located at 1701 East 23rd Ave., operates as part of Hutchinson Regional Medical Center's emergency services division.
