Reno County commissioners to meet Wednesday, adjust December schedule

The Reno County Board of Commissioners will convene its regular meeting Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m. in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse, 206 W. 1st Ave.

The board will consider multiple financial transfers to county reserve funds, including Economic Development, Equipment Reserve, Multi-Year Capital Improvement, Special Highway, Special Bridge, Special Machinery and several Public Health funds. Additional transfers from Water Districts' and Sewer Districts' General Funds are also on the agenda.

Commissioners will vote on Resolution 2025-40, which appoints or reappoints Jack Martin, Randy Parks and Carissa Paxton to the Public Building Commission for 2026-2029 terms. Resolution 2025-41 addresses removing certain Health Department balances.

The board will also appoint one citizen to a three-year term on the Planning Commission.

County Clerk and County Treasurer annual reports are scheduled for presentation, along with the County Administrator's monthly department updates and financial report.

The commission will modify its December meeting schedule due to holidays, meeting only on the first and third Wednesdays of the month — Dec. 3 and Dec. 17 — at 9 a.m.
