PBS travel show spotlights McPherson in new episode
'See Taste Do' features museum, sandwich shop, historic opera house
McPHERSON, Kan. — PBS's travel series "See Taste Do" turned its cameras on McPherson, Kansas, in an episode that aired Tuesday, with host Phil Richardson exploring the small central Kansas community's outsized charm. Richardson's visit took him through a local museum (McPherson Museum) showcasing the area's history, to a hometown sandwich shop (Noffy's) serving up regional flavor, and inside McPherson's beautifully preserved historic opera house — a testament to the town's enduring cultural roots. The episode, which carries the tagline "small town, big character," is a welcome spotlight for a community that locals know has plenty to offer visitors willing to venture off the interstate, blending history, food and the arts into a single compelling stop on the Kansas map.
