New Turon fire station nears completion, awaits final concrete work

TURON, Kan. — Construction of the new Fire District 7 station in Turon is complete, with the facility awaiting final concrete work for street guttering.
The City of Turon is scheduled to pour the concrete this week, according to Reno County Fire Administrator Travis Vogt.
Once the concrete work is finished, District 7 will begin moving into the new facility. A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house will be scheduled, with the public invited to tour the station.
