Multiple Arrests Made in Manhattan Area Over Weekend

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Riley County police made several arrests from Sept. 19-22, including charges ranging from domestic violence to protection order violations, according to department reports.
Joseph Snitker, 23, of Manhattan, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property on Sept. 21 at approximately 2:29 a.m. Snitker was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Jonathan Patrick Bloodworth, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested Sept. 21 on charges of violating a protection order and abuse order violations. He was issued a $2,000 bond.
Howard Amos, 21, of Manhattan, was arrested on Sept. 20 at approximately 3:57 p.m. in the 800 block of Colorado Street on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Amos was issued a total bond of $14,000.
Other weekend arrests included Nevaeh Noel Collier, 24, of Manhattan, who was arrested Sept. 19 for domestic battery and knowing rude physical contact with a family member or dating relationship partner. She was issued a $2,000 bond.
Quamir Davis, 21, of Junction City, was arrested on Sept. 19 at approximately 3:15 a.m. near Anderson Avenue and Wickham Road on a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Davis was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
In addition to arrests, Riley County police issued at least six citations during the same period, according to department reports.
A 23-year-old Wamego resident was cited for criminal damage to property at Jucy's Vapor Lounge in Manhattan on Sept. 20. A 40-year-old Manhattan resident received two separate citations on Sept. 19 — one for possession of drug paraphernalia and another for possession of marijuana, both at Westchester Park Apartments.
Traffic enforcement resulted in three citations for moving violations. A 20-year-old Manhattan resident was cited for following too closely on Denison Avenue on Sept. 15. Another 20-year-old Manhattan resident received a similar citation for following too closely on South Manhattan Avenue on Sept. 10. A 39-year-old Manhattan resident was cited for speeding on North Manhattan Avenue on Sept. 18.
The citation breakdown shows two drug-related offenses, three traffic violations and one property damage case during the reporting period.
The arrests were part of routine law enforcement activities in the Manhattan area, which includes Riley County and surrounding communities. The Riley County Police Department serves Manhattan and unincorporated areas of Riley County.
Several other individuals were arrested on various charges including failure to appear warrants and probation violations during the four-day period covered in the reports.
Police reports indicate that domestic violence-related charges made up a significant portion of the weekend arrests, reflecting ongoing community concerns about family violence. The department also maintained active enforcement of drug possession laws and traffic violations.
