Ogden Man Arrested on Sex Offender Registration Violations in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, Kan. — A 20-year-old Ogden man was arrested Tuesday evening on multiple charges related to sex offender registration violations, according to Riley County Police.
Kyle Tarpey was arrested at approximately 2:11 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road in Manhattan on 27 counts of violating the offender registration act, five counts of perjury and one count of aggravated violation of the offender registration act.
The arrest stems from a report filed in August 2025, according to the Riley County Police Department's daily media report. Tarpey was issued a total bond of $100,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail as of the time of the report.
The Riley County Police Department encourages anyone with information about crimes to contact Crime Stoppers, which allows callers to remain anonymous and could qualify them for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
According to the department's media reports, the Riley County Police Department issued three traffic citations including following too closely, failure to yield to a stop sign and inattentive driving. In addition three other arrests were made, two for outside warrants from Harvey County and the third and in-county warrant.
Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
