Muehler Earns Medal as Bullpups Compete at Rim Rock Classic

LAWRENCE – The McPherson High School cross country teams faced top-level competition at the prestigious Rim Rock Classic, with senior Caleb Muehler leading the way by earning a medal with his 18th-place finish in the boys' Gold Division.

Muehler clocked an impressive 16:28 to secure his medal in the highly competitive Gold Division, where the Bullpup boys finished 35th as a team. Kayden Friesen provided solid support with an 18:09 for 146th place, followed by Tripp Pelzel (18:44, 192nd), Jonas Emery (19:45, 236th), Nathan Friesen (20:20, 245th), Isaiah Ortiz (20:33, 247th), and Drake Timson (21:22, 253rd).

The girls' team competed in the Blue Division, placing 27th overall. Kamryn Prescott paced the Lady Bullpups with a 21:53 time for 54th place, while Reesa Whorton followed closely behind in 81st (22:17). Adeline Kramer (23:42, 154th), Eliza Jex (23:51, 167th), and Lindley Jex (28:10, 328th) rounded out the scoring for McPherson.

The Rim Rock Classic, held annually in Lawrence, attracts elite runners from across the region, making any strong performance a notable achievement for the Bullpup program.
