Moundridge Community Foundation Launches 10th Annual Match Week
$100,000 in matching grants from Patterson Family Foundation to benefit local organizations and community fund Nov. 3-7
MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge Community Foundation (MCF) kicks off its 10th annual Match Week on November 3-7, offering the community a unique opportunity to double the impact of charitable giving through $100,000 in matching funds.
MCF has secured two separate $50,000 grants from the Patterson Family Foundation for 2025. One grant will match donations made to local organizational endowments, while the other will match contributions to the Moundridge Community Fund, marking a special milestone for community endowment building.
Last year's Match Week raised an impressive $174,948.75, demonstrating strong community support for local organizations and initiatives.
"This event is an opportunity for organizations to build strong endowments that provide permanent funding," said Michelle Huddle, CEO of the McPherson County Community Foundation, MCF's managing affiliate. "At the same time, they benefit from immediate funding by leveraging the grant dollars."
Matching funds will be distributed proportionally based on the percentage of total donations each organization receives. For example, if an organization receives 10% of total donations and more than $50,000 is raised during the week, that organization will receive $5,000 as a grant for immediate use.
