Mixed media workshop wet for March at Hutchinson Art Center

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center will host a day-long mixed media workshop March 14, offering participants the chance to create layered artworks under the guidance of a local artist.

Kayann Ausherman of Haven will lead the session, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The workshop targets teenagers and adults interested in exploring accessible art techniques.

Participants will produce 12 pieces of mixed media artwork, each measuring 6 by 6 inches. The class focuses on layering materials intuitively to achieve textured, visually complex results.

The workshop costs $70 for non-members and $60 for Hutchinson Art Center members. Registration closes Friday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m.
