The McPherson Chamber of Commerce announced a Thursday, Oct. 29, ribbon cutting at The Fox Hole Cigar Lounge, a free U.S. Small Business Administration workshop Wednesday, Nov. 4, and a new Nov. 10 date for the postponed Chamber Banquet and Awards.

The Chamber Connection and ribbon cutting will run from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at The Fox Hole, 502 W. Kansas Ave. The new cigar lounge offers premium cigars, a Spanish cedar-lined humidor, personal lockers and VIP memberships. The Chamber said attendees can learn about the business over coffee and conversation.

SBA Economic Development Specialist Michael Aumack will present a free workshop on business continuity planning at noon Nov. 4 at the Chamber office, 306 N. Main St. The session will cover steps businesses can take to prepare for disruptions, including protecting records, documenting essential procedures and maintaining access to important information. Free individual business consultations will be available after the presentation. Registration is requested by calling 620-241-3303 or emailing chamber@mcphersonks.org.

The Chamber Banquet and Awards, originally scheduled for Oct. 21 at the McPherson Community Building, has been moved to Nov. 10. People who previously planned to attend are asked to confirm their reservations, and those who could not attend on the original date may now register by calling the Chamber or emailing chamber@mcphersonks.org. The Chamber did not give a reason for the postponement or provide an updated time or location.
