McPherson 7th Grade Volleyball Sweeps Home Triangular

The McPherson Bullpups 7th grade volleyball teams delivered commanding performances in Tuesday's home triangular, with both squads sweeping Arkansas City and Wellington at McPherson Middle School. The A Team continued their dominant season with straight-set victories over both opponents to improve to 13-1, while the B Team displayed remarkable determination in winning two three-set battles to push their record to 13-6.

The A Team showcased their development throughout the season with consistent passing, aggressive net play, and impressive serving runs. "The girls came out strong and stayed consistent to earn their wins," said coach Abby Bradstreet. "However the most impressive thing tonight was the many hustle plays they had to keep the ball in play and win the point. Their confidence and skills on the court are definitely improving." The B Team faced tougher challenges, defeating Arkansas City 25-19, 19-25, 15-13 and Wellington 25-18, 17-25, 15-9 in hard-fought matches. Reese Kramer, Norah Bartlett, and Kayleigh Dilli controlled the net, while Abby Galina, Sophie Racines, and Auri Perryman anchored the passing game. Kennedy Grant's clutch serving proved pivotal in the decisive third set against Arkansas City.

"B Team showed incredible grit this evening," noted coach Amelia Broadfoot. "I'm so proud of these girls and how they have continued to improve this season." Both teams will conclude their regular season Monday, October 13, hosting Augusta in their final home dual of the year.
