Bullpups Roll Past Ulysses in 4A Sub-State

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups rolled past the Ulysses Tigers 73-48 in sub-state basketball action Wednesday at the Roundhouse, pulling away with a 21-9 advantage in the fourth quarter to build a lead as large as 26 points.

Jett Pyle led McPherson with 20 points on 8-of-18 shooting, while Ashton Malm added 16 points and six assists and Cade Strathman chipped in 14. The Bullpups outscored Ulysses 46-24 in the paint and shot 49.2% from the field compared to 32.7% for the Tigers, whose Julian Meraz led all scorers with 17 points.
