The MCFC 16' boys soccer team delivered a statement weekend, cruising to back-to-back shutout victories to improve their season record to 4-2 with two matches remaining. The squad opened with a commanding 3-0 victory over FC Atlas on Saturday, sparked by Wendell Stucky's first goal of the season and a two-goal performance from midfield dynamo Elijah Griggs, who found the net off a free kick and a quick rebound. Goalkeeper George Bohman anchored the defense with five crucial saves, while Anders Denniston contributed his first save of the year in the team's first shutout of the weekend.

Sunday's match against WUFC turned into an offensive showcase as MCFC rolled to a 5-0 triumph. Griggs continued his hot streak with an impressive hat trick on just five shots, while Kale Emeneger opened the scoring and Kamden Fuqua netted his first goal of the season with a long-range strike. The defensive unit remained impenetrable, with the center back committee of Miles Ide, Fuqua, Stucky, and Emeneger controlling play and keeping the ball in the attacking half for most of the contest. With momentum building and team chemistry peaking at the right time, MCFC looks to extend their winning streak when they face Blackhawks FC on October 18th at 1:50 p.m.
