Manhattan Urban Area Planning Board meets Monday
MANHATTAN — The Manhattan Urban Area Planning Board will consider two development code amendments and approve a property replat at its meeting Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the City Commission Room at City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue.
The board will hold a public hearing on an amendment to the Manhattan Development Code aimed at correcting an amendment considered at the previous meeting. The City of Manhattan is the applicant for the amendment.
A second public hearing will address an amendment to the Riley County Land Development Regulations regarding short-term rentals. The Riley County Planning Board submitted the request, which would modify use-specific standards in Section 5.2 of the county's land development code.
On the consent agenda, the board is expected to approve the final plat for Happy Valley Addition, Unit Two, a 1.2-acre replat of a portion of Lot 13 in Blue Hills Addition and Lots 7-A, 8-A, and 8-B in Happy Valley Addition. The property is located at 2223 Tuttle Creek Boulevard. Applicants Dnyanada Nevgi and Ofi Chito submitted the request.
The board will also approve the minutes from its October 20 meeting.
Members of the public are invited to comment on items not listed on the agenda during the public comments portion of the meeting.
