Third Street to shut down for six hours to accommodate construction deliveries

Manhattan street closure scheduled June 1 for Wareham Hall renovation

MANHATTAN, Kan. — No through traffic will be allowed on a section of Third Street in Manhattan on Monday, June 1, as crews close the roadway between Pierre and Poyntz avenues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The six-hour disruption will accommodate heavy equipment and material deliveries for the privately funded $40 million renovation of Wareham Hall. Backed by Wareham Hall Inc. and the Wareham Hall Renovation Fund, the extensive construction project is transforming the 19th-century downtown landmark into a modern 37,000-square-foot arts and entertainment venue.
