Manhattan Parks and Recreation Opens Registration for Adult Indoor Soccer League
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Manhattan Parks and Recreation announced registration is open for its Adult Indoor Soccer League, scheduled to run Monday evenings from Nov. 10 through Dec. 18.
The league will meet from 6-8 p.m. at Douglass Community Center and is open to players ages 15 and older. The cost is $20 per player, with teams requiring a minimum of five players.
In a Facebook post Saturday, Manhattan Parks and Recreation promoted the league with a reference to the Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso," quoting character Dani Rojas: "Fútbol is life! Fútbol is friends!"
The department emphasized the league's social aspect in its announcement.
"Whether you're in it for the goals, the glory, or just the post-game laughs, this league is all about bringing people together on the pitch," the post stated.
Interested players can register online at mhkprd.com/register.
The recreation department operates multiple sports and recreation programs for Manhattan residents throughout the year.
