Manhattan Community Health Foundation seeks nominations for cornerstone award

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Manhattan Community Health Foundation is accepting nominations for its Cornerstone of Community Health Award, recognizing individuals or families who demonstrate leadership in promoting community health through inspiration, innovation and collaboration.
The award celebrates community members who embody the foundation's core values as catalysts for a healthier Manhattan by investing in innovative solutions, building strong partnerships and championing equitable healthcare access.
Nominees must demonstrate work that aligns with four key criteria: investing in innovative solutions by creating or leading new projects that address significant health challenges; building strong partnerships through collaboration with local organizations and community members; championing equitable healthcare access with a commitment to health equity for underserved populations; and serving as an inspiration and role model for others.
The award is open to individuals or families who live or work in Manhattan and whose work has significantly impacted residents' health and wellness.
Nominations require completion of an online form with detailed descriptions of the nominee's work, evidence of their impact and supporting materials. The nomination deadline is Oct. 15, 2025.
The Manhattan Community Health Foundation's board of directors will review nominations and make the final selection. The award recipient will be recognized at the Crystal Gala on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2025.
"As a catalyst for a healthier Manhattan, we are committed to improving lives by investing in innovative solutions, building strong partnerships, and championing equitable healthcare access for all," the foundation stated.
