Local Search and Rescue Group Hosts Fundraiser to Support Mission

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Seek1 Search & Rescue will host a meet-and-greet fundraiser Sept. 20 at Pleasantview Activity Center to support their volunteer search and rescue operations.
The donation-based event will feature a meal starting at 5 p.m. and free entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. at the center located at 5015 S Dean Road.
Seek1 Search & Rescue, which partners with organizations in Oklahoma and Arkansas, provides search and rescue services for missing persons and emergency situations. The volunteer-based group relies on community donations to fund their operations and equipment.
"We seek to bring Jesus' love to hurting people by being present in crisis, facilitating community, and providing skilled search and rescue services," according to the organization's mission statement.
The fundraiser, dubbed "A Night of Good Food, Good Community & Good Music by Close To Land," aims to raise awareness and financial support for the group's continued operations.
