Leadership Development Opportunities Quickly Approaching Application Deadlines

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community Foundation is offering several leadership and professional development opportunities with upcoming application deadlines for Reno County residents.
The foundation's Learning Community Series will feature Joyce McEwen Crane presenting "Unlocking Potential" on Sept. 4. Registration must be completed by Sept. 2. The session is part of the foundation's professional development programming designed to enhance community leadership skills.
Leadership coaching services are also available for individuals and groups seeking to address adaptive challenges. The personalized coaching aims to help participants make progress on complex leadership issues.
The foundation is actively recruiting volunteers for its board and standing committees. Applications are being accepted through Sept. 1 for residents who demonstrate a commitment to Reno County and community service.
High school students across Reno County can apply to join the Youth Philanthropy Council, which provides students with hands-on experience in grantmaking decisions. The application deadline for the youth council is Sept. 19.
"We're looking for people with a love for Reno County and a desire to serve the community," according to foundation materials.
The Hutchinson Community Foundation, established in 1989, describes itself as "the heart of philanthropic giving in Reno County." The organization is located at 1 N Main St., Suite 501, in Hutchinson.
