Law enforcement officers to take polar plunge for Special Olympics Kansas
HUTCHINSON, Kan.— Law enforcement officers will jump into frigid water Jan. 24 to raise money for Special Olympics Kansas.
The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge, billed as the "Coolest Lake Party in Kansas," will take place at 10 a.m. at Midwest Superstore, 1100 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson. The Reno County Sheriff's Office is participating in the event.

The event supports Special Olympics Kansas, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
