KSHSAA releases 2026, 2027 district football assignments

Based on the Kansas State High School Activities Association's 2025-2026 Annual Classification Changes document, here are the schools changing classification:

Moving to Class 4A:

• Santa Fe Trail (from 3A)

Moving to Class 3A:

• Easton-Pleasant Ridge (from 2A)
• Holton (from 4A)
• Oskaloosa (from 2A)
• Phillipsburg (from 2A)
• Shawnee-Maranatha Academy (from 2A)

Moving to Class 2A:

• Allen-Northern Heights (from 1A)
• Atwood-Rawlins County (from 1A)
• Belle Plaine (from 3A)
• Effingham-Atchison County HS (from 3A)
• Humboldt (from 3A)
• Oxford (from 1A)
• St. Marys (from 3A)
• Washington County (from 1A)

Moving to Class 1A:

• Hill City (from 2A)
• Pleasanton (from 2A)
• Sylvan-Lucas Unified (from 2A)
• Wabaunsee (from 2A)

Class 6A and 5A had no changes for the 2025-2026 school year.
