HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Office of Veteran Services has relocated to a new field office in Hutchinson, partnering with the city's Parks and Facilities Department to improve access to veteran resources.
The office now operates from the Parks and Facilities Department building at 1600 S. Elm St. in Carey Park, where it officially began operations Oct. 27.
"We're proud to welcome the Kansas Office of Veteran Services to Carey Park," said Justin Combs, Hutchinson parks and facilities director. "Through this partnership, a field office will be located at our Park Maintenance Facility, helping make it easier for veterans in our community to access the support and resources they deserve."

The new location features a private office on the main floor with a large waiting area and handicapped-accessible parking near the entrance.
Eric Rohleder, deputy director of the Office of Veteran Services, said Hutchinson American Legion Post 68 allowed the agency to temporarily park its mobile office in the post's lot during the transition.
The relocation aims to streamline access to veteran services and support for military families in the Hutchinson area.
