K-State Homecoming Week features parade, volleyball, community events
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University will celebrate its annual Homecoming week Oct. 5-11, bringing together students, alumni and community members for a series of events across Manhattan.
The weeklong celebration will include a traditional Homecoming parade, volleyball games, marching band performances and various campus activities organized by the K-State Alumni Association.
The Homecoming Parade is scheduled for 5 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Aggieville Historic District along Moro Street. Student organizations will showcase themed floats as they travel through downtown Manhattan and the Aggieville entertainment district.
Later that evening, the Pride of Wildcat Land marching band will perform during its annual Pub Crawl at 7:30 p.m., starting at Manhattan Town Center. The band will visit local businesses throughout downtown Manhattan, continuing a tradition held before home football games.
K-State volleyball will host multiple matches during Homecoming week, with games scheduled for Oct. 8 and Oct. 10 at Morgan Family Arena. The Wildcats are set to play 13 home matches this season, including Big 12 Conference matchups against Iowa State, Baylor and Kansas.
Additional Homecoming events and activities throughout the week are available through the K-State Alumni Association website. The university is located at 119 Anderson Hall in Manhattan.
