Hutchinson Zoo to host adults-only holiday lights event
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Zoo will host an adults-only evening showcasing its holiday light displays Friday, offering visitors a chance to explore the attraction after dark with festive food and drinks.
Prairie Nights: Holiday Lights runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5 at the zoo, located at 6 Emerson Loop East in Carey Park. The three-hour event is restricted to guests 21 and older, with valid identification required at entry.
Attendees can preview the zoo's seasonal light installations while enjoying complimentary appetizers and beverages. The evening will feature animal encounters designed specifically for adult audiences, according to zoo officials.
Organizers said tickets are limited for the event and encouraged early registration through the zoo's website at www.HutchinsonZoo.org.
The adults-only format marks a departure from typical family-oriented zoo programming, allowing the Hutchinson facility to cater to grown-up visitors during the holiday season.
The Hutchinson Zoo, a public facility in south-central Kansas, operates year-round and houses various species native to prairie ecosystems alongside exotic animals.
