Hutchinson Zoo Announces September Programming for All Ages

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Zoo is offering a variety of educational programs and special events throughout September, with activities designed for visitors of all ages.
The zoo maintains regular operating hours from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily and encourages community members to explore the upcoming monthly programming.
During the Kansas State Fair, which runs Sept. 5-14, the zoo's education team will be stationed in the fair's education building with interactive activities and a live ambassador animal for unforgettable learning experiences.
The zoo's Tiny Tots program, designed for children ages 2-4, offers educational sessions led by zoo staff that include crafts, story time and animal encounters. Two September sessions are scheduled: Shell Adventures on Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and Rabbit Romp on Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Adults ages 21 and older can attend Prairie Nights Happy Hour on Sept. 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event, titled "Final Sips of Summer," will feature animal activities and summer camp-themed nostalgia designed exclusively for adult participants.
