Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Adds Emergency Physicians, Honors ICU Nurse
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Regional Medical Center has welcomed three new emergency department physicians and recognized an intensive care unit nurse with a prestigious nursing award.
The hospital announced the addition of Dr. Christopher Secilowski, Dr. Ashley "Jodi" Ireland and Dr. Caitlin Olson to its emergency department staff. The move is part of the medical center's effort to enhance emergency services by bringing the emergency physician team in-house.
"This step reflects our ongoing commitment to accessible, high-quality care for all we serve," the hospital said in a statement posted to social media. The change is designed to strengthen care, improve continuity and deepen the hospital's connection to the community.
The hospital said the new arrangement allows them to welcome "three outstanding Emergency Care providers to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and the greater Hutchinson community."
ICU Nurse Receives BEE Award
Separately, the hospital honored Sarah Watts, an ICU nurse, with a BEE Award, which recognizes exceptional nursing care and dedication.
According to the hospital's announcement, Watts was nominated for consistently demonstrating dedication and bringing "a strong sense of teamwork to every shift." The nomination described her as "the definition of a true team player."
"There aren't enough words to describe the ways Sarah benefits our work team," the nomination stated. "I can't even imagine doing her job day after day to the extent she does every single time she comes to work."
