Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System Breaks Ground on New EMS Station in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Kan. – Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System officially broke ground on Reno County EMS Station 3, which is set to open in early 2026, the healthcare system announced Monday.

The new emergency medical services station represents a partnership between Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Reno County Emergency Medical Services, Reno County, the City of Arlington, Ward Davis Builders and Landmark Architects.

"We're thrilled to see this new station begin to take shape and to help bring expanded EMS services to the Arlington community," Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System said in a statement.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured local officials and community members gathering at the construction site. Photos from the event show participants with ceremonial shovels and construction signage marking the project location.

The new station is expected to improve emergency response times and expand medical services coverage for Arlington and surrounding areas in Reno County. Specific details about staffing levels and service capacity were not immediately available.

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center has been expanding its emergency services partnerships throughout south-central Kansas. The Arlington station represents the latest effort to extend critical care access to rural communities in the region.

Construction is expected to continue through 2025, with the station becoming operational in early 2026.
