Hutchinson cruises to 55-37 win over Buhler

HUTCHINSON, Kan.— Hutchinson High School Salthawks girls basketball hosted a cross-county matchup against the Buhler High School Crusaders at the Salthawk Activity Center on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
The Salthawk girls entered the game with a 1-2 record. Buhler sported a record of 1-1. The Crusaders led the scoring after the tipoff, quickly taking the lead. The score remained close for the first part of the first quarter, then the Hutch ladies went on a run to close out the quarter with a 19-9 score. The Salthawks continued to control the game, closing the half with a score of 35-16 in favor of Hutchinson. The Salthawk ladies' offense moved the ball around the court with sharp passing, setting up successful drives to the basket. On the other end of the court, the Hutchinson defense defended the ball well and was strong on the boards.
The Salthawk ladies controlled the second half, using strong defense and good shooting to extend their lead. The final score was 55-37 in favor of Hutchinson.
The Hutchinson Salthawks will be in action next week before the Christmas break. They will host the Haysville Campus Colts at the Salthawk Activity Center on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025.
