Hutchinson council to consider $13.4M in bonds, notes at Monday meeting

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will consider issuing more than $13 million in bonds and temporary notes when it meets Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m. at City Hall.
The council's agenda includes an ordinance authorizing $1.92 million in general obligation improvement bonds, Series 2025-C, along with a resolution prescribing the form and details of those bonds.
Members will also weigh an ordinance for $11.4 million in general obligation temporary notes, Series 2025-D. Both measures include provisions for levying and collecting annual taxes to pay principal and interest as they become due.
Other business includes reviewing bid results for the Spyglass Hills Watermain Project and considering annexation of land adjoining the city owned by PrairieLand Partners.
The meeting will begin with a proclamation recognizing Community Foundation Week. An executive session will follow the regular session.
