Hutchinson Community Foundation adds judges, doctors and ag leaders to its board

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A retired judge, a physician and an agriculture executive are among the changes coming to the Hutchinson Community Foundation's board of directors, the organization announced Tuesday.

Jon Richardson steps into the board chair role vacated by Dashona Mahoney, who guided the foundation's governance for four years before her term ended in 2025. Mahoney remains involved as immediate past board chair. Shane Iwashige moves into the vice chair seat, and Abby Stockebrand takes over treasurer duties from Michelle Inskeep, who departed the board in December.

Patricia Macke Dick, who spent nearly four decades on the Reno County bench before retiring earlier this year, is among the three incoming members. She served 36 years as a Kansas District Court judge, half of them as chief judge, and was a U.S. Supreme Court appointee to the S.R.S. Liaison Committee. She previously led the Kansas District Judges Association as its president. A Buhler resident since 1982, Macke Dick has also been active in local causes ranging from the Salvation Army to Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County.

John Fan, a physician and department vice chairman at Hutchinson Clinic, rounds out his practice with two decades of volunteer work supporting local polio survivors. He also sits on the Medical Executive Committee at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Darrell Pankratz brings a business and agriculture background to the board. He built and eventually merged Pankratz Implement Co. into Prairieland Partners LLC, where he later served as chief executive. He currently chairs AVE-PLP LLC and serves as an independent bank director, and has previously lent his time to both Hutchinson Community College's board of trustees and the KANSASWORKS workforce board.
