HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Wisdom in Motion, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering at-risk youth, announced the addition of Greg Fast as its newest Legacy Leader, bringing decades of public service and business experience to the organization's mentorship programs.

Fast, a current Hutchinson City Council member and owner of Hutch Lawn Care, will work alongside other mentors to guide young people in Reno County toward reaching their full potential.

"We're grateful for his willingness to pour into our youth, share his experience, and help guide the next generation toward confidence and possibility," the organization said in a statement.

As a long-time Hutchinson resident, Fast has built a reputation for steady leadership and commitment to community service. Through his role on the city council, he works to strengthen Hutchinson through collaboration and dedication to serving residents.

Fast also owns and operates Hutch Lawn Care, a local business he has grown from the ground up. Known for treating customers with courtesy and personal attention, he brings hands-on experience and community pride to his work.

Wisdom in Motion provides structured developmental mentorship programs that empower young individuals to reach their full potential and become future leaders in the community. Through one-on-one relationships with passionate mentors, the organization helps youth develop essential life skills, build confidence and discover their strengths.

The nonprofit's goal is to guide at-risk youth out of a school-to-prison pipeline, with a focus on increasing minority youth representation in mentoring by intentionally recruiting and training mentors who are minorities themselves.

The organization recently revamped its programs to offer a range of activities including fishing, one-on-one mentoring, cooking classes, career readiness training and urban farming. Wisdom in Motion also provides educational support and family access to financial education through group meetings and individual mentorship.

The nonprofit believes that mentored youth are more likely to contribute positively to society, making Hutchinson a better place to live, work and thrive.

Fast's combination of public service, business leadership and genuine investment in Hutchinson makes him a strong addition to the Legacy Leaders team, according to the organization.
