HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Central Christian School raised more than $125,000 at its annual stewardship dinner, exceeding the school's fundraising goal and supporting its mission to provide Christ-centered education.

The K-12 interdenominational Christian school announced the fundraising success Nov. 19 on social media, thanking attendees who prayed, served and donated at the event.

The funds will support the school's educational programs and operating expenses. According to the school's website, tuition covers approximately 66% of operational costs, with donations and fundraisers bridging the financial gap.

Central Christian School, located at 1910 E. 30th Ave., was established by local Mennonite organizations in 1950 as Central Kansas Bible Academy. The school changed its name to Central Christian High School in 1955 and now serves students from preschool through 12th grade.

As of fall 2024, the school enrolled 66 high school students, with total enrollment across all grades ranging between 180 and 254 students, according to various educational databases.

The school has demonstrated success in academics and athletics. Its scholars bowl team won state championships in 2011, 2013 and 2024, while the golf team captured the Class 1A state championship in 2022 and 2025.
